Improving life with therapy

Learn something new

Begin exploring your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours within deep conversations that guide and support you.

Say the things you always wanted to say

It’s been hard to tell your story or maybe you never have. Give yourself the place to let it out and learn how to feel vulnerable in a safe place.

Target issues or events

Come to therapy with a specific idea, topic, or event you want to process. You can also collaboratively work with your therapist to determine targets.

Be safe to discover yourself and the life you want

There is no judgement here. You can discuss and contemplate what you need to help discover your sense of Self and find support.

Approach to Therapy

Integrative therapy means we learn about how you make changes in your life, identify what you value, understand your perspectives and culture, and find therapeutic modalities that work best for your unique needs.

Every session comes from a trauma-informed, solution-focused, and strength-based approach. This occurs within a culturally inclusive and social justice framework. All people are welcome to this practice.

Here are some types of therapies that may interest you. You do not need to know which ones you like before you attend therapy. It’s here to help, only if you want.

approach to mediation

Disputes that can be settled through mediation without lawyers usually go through a five stage process: the initial phase, the opening phase, the exploration phase, the negotiation phase, and finally the settlement or concluding phase. The process can be non-adversarial.

Facilitative mediation maintains control of the process, both clients have control of the outcome. Facilitative mediators use both evaluative and transformative techniques, such as asking questions, offering perspectives, and providing policy and procedure support to both parties. There is much less evaluation involved, and agency is given back to those involved.

Transformative mediation is a relatively new approach based on the concept that two clients may be transformed during the mediation process. This approach also empowers the clients to come to their own resolution. Individuals also structure the mediation process as well as the outcome in this approach.

We will determine the best approach for both of you. Book a 30 minute consultation to determine if mediation is right for you.
